For instance, some roofing materials may be warrantied for 20 years but the roofing contractor’s labor is only warrantied for a year, so be sure to keep that in mind. By asking for their warranty and making sure it is in your favor, you will be protecting your investment.

How Long Have You Been in Business?

The longer a roofing company has been in business, the more experience they have, and that is a positive thing. The more experience, the better. You are better off hiring an established roofing company as opposed to an inexperienced or new contractor for your roofing project.

Be sure to do your research and check the Better Business Bureau’s (BBB) website, along with review websites of the company you are considering. There are many review websites available, such as Google My Business and Yelp.
